All ingredients can be bought from your local health shop, but don’t use any powdered ingredients.

Put 1-1/2 cups of water in a saucepan

Add a 1 inch stick of Cinnamon (Cassia), 8 slightly crushed Cardamom Pods and 8 whole Cloves

Bring to the boil and then cover, turn the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes

Add milk of your choice and your preferred sweetener if you’d like to, and bring to a simmer again

Add 3 teaspoons of un-perfumed loose black tea or green tea, cover, then turn off the heat and after 2 minutes strain the tea and serve immediately

You can also add to it: Ginger, Nutmeg, Red or White Peppercorns, Liquorice, Star Anise, Vanilla Bean and Chamomile, the list goes on!

You can use doTERRA oils too! If using oils then it’s best to use the toothpick method with the strong oils as not to overpower the flavour. Simply dip a toothpick into the oil bottle and then add it into the recipe by swirling in the toothpick, you can always add more.

Have fun experimenting!
